Cambridge Equine Hospital treats foals rescued by RSPCA

Staff at the Cambridge Equine Hospital assisted the RSPCA by caring for Pancake and Poppet, two foals who were left abandoned in a field. It’s been a long road to recovery for these fillies – Pancake needed lifting to stand and turn every 3-4 hours, but with careful management, they’ve successfully avoided refeeding syndrome and deworming complications. Pancake is still receiving treatment, but we’re so happy to report the fantastic outcome in this case.
